Great location and clean restaurant the first two things that stand out. I arrived around 10:15pm to have some dinner and sit outside on a Fall night since it was beautiful and cool, the patio was closed we chose to sit in a booth and just relax.

I orders a phillycheese and my boyfriend chicken Parmesan wings. The service was fast the server was very attentive to our order and the food when it came out was hot and tasted super fresh. Not once did we have to ask for a refill nor anything our server was always a step ahead.

When you arrive at the time I did prepare for young college kids drinking, being loud and watching sports. It is a great sports bar and I highly recommend everyone to stop by and try it out at least once. Located on Calhoun street it's right in the middle of a gorgeous view of downtown Charleston.

    Crappy service.

Lauren was our server. She was VERY LOST. No ideas about drink menu.
When asked about how spicy Thai Chicken Bowl, answer was "Not at all" which is not even close to the truth. Had to wave her back to being next beers - not attentive at all. One in our party ordered Crispy Ribs our of the appetizer menu, this never arrived. When asked, nobody knew what happened.
We got some small discount on our bill but
we will not be coming back.

How do taco chefs live their lives?

    By seasoning the moment!

This was a great chance place to stop after being outside at the park. I just decided to give it a shot and there wasn't even a wait.

My fish tacos were amazing and I probably could have eaten 15 of them. The music playing was great too, I have to admit, I enjoyed the grooves/playlist.

This is a great place for just about any night out and the parking was also not a problem to negotiate.

I got lucky by picking this place but I will be back.

A solid place for a draft beer and appetizers with a view.

Carolina Ale House is a typical American Restaurant & Sports Bar. This one had a phenomenal location and view overlooking Marion Square. When its not 90+ degrees outside, I really love sitting out on their deck.

The two times I've ordered food here it's hit the spot - but it's not necessarily something I would "write home" about. Pretty good burgers.

I will say the last few times I've visited its been very sticky/dirty and flies are prevalent. They could do a lot better with cleaning.

I'll be back here several times I'm sure, but its not on the top of my list.

We stopped in on our walk back to the hotel. You take the elevator to the third floor which opens in the lobby area of the restaurant. Or,  you can take the stairs. We took a seat at the bar and our drink orders were taken and we were provided menus. They have 20+ large tv's which had various football games playing. We had the impression that this was a chain restaurant based on how it was set up and the menu. Regardless, the menu looked very enticing and the selection of beers was significant. In addition, having so many TVs would make it a great place to watch any sporting event.

I was surprised to learn they have 72 beers on tap!  We just weren't hungry but the menu looked good. So, we can't speak for the food.

They also have a large partially covered rooftop patio which would be a great place to enjoy drinks and food!  The views were very nice too! I think this would be a great place for larger groups to gather.

Our server was friendly and we felt well taken care of.
